Imagine you get signed by Chuck Fletcher and you're excited to contribute to your new team. Then imagine your coach is John Tortorella, this is the reality of one player for the Philadelphia Flyers.

John Tortorella is well known for his hard-nosed coaching style and no-nonsense interviews.

Since then coach John Tortorella's scratched the defenseman for 3 games and has not spoken to DeAngelo, indicating a possible communication breakdown between management and the defenseman.
Tony DeAngelo is a healthy scratch for a third straight game. Asked how a competitive guy like DeAngelo is taking that, John Tortorella said he hasn't talked to him.

DeAngelo was never known for his defensive prowess and was always a liability, but being on the Carolina Hurricanes sheltered his weaknesses, and after his arrival in Philadelphia, he's had his minutes shaven and moved off the top-pairing with Ivan Provorov.
Is this the end of DeAngelo's time in Philadelphia? Considering Tortorella has Danny Briere's ear, it's a good possibility with the off-season coming.
