Despite Morgan Frost's impressive performance last season with 17 goals and 46 points, John Tortorella remains unimpressed. Even with Frost contributing 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 4 games, he found himself once again scratched from the lineup against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The new front office has granted Tortorella more influence, with Danny Briere and Keith Jones listening to his perspective.
According to reports, Morgan Frost's future in Philadelphia seems over. He highlights that Keith Jones, now the President of Hockey Operations, expressed his dissatisfaction with Frost during broadcasts last season.
The situation may have escalated after Tortorella made a comparison between Frost and a toilet seat last season.

The Frost stuff isn't rocket science

Torts isn't a fan of his at all; he compared him to a toilet seat last season, and now he has an ally on his side in Jonesy, who you could tell from his TV broadcast work didn't love Frost. Writing is on the wall, I'm sure they'll try to move him

Also, Tortorella has now deemed Frost 'not apart of his nightly lineup'...
''Torts just clearly doesn't see Frost as an essential part of his nightly lineups.''

Frost, replaced by Bobby Brink in the Flyers lineup on Sunday, has accumulated four points in 10 games since being drafted 27th overall in the 2017 NHL draft.
If the Flyers decide to part ways with the center, it's expected that multiple teams, including the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens, will express interest, as they have in the past.
Shane Pinto and Mathieu Joseph were linked to the Flyers a couple weeks back, with Morgan Frost possibly being a trade piece in a deal involving the Senators. Those rumours have since died down but I wonder if things may pick back up.

Per @TheFourthPeriod
: The Flyers dangled Frost during the offseason, and the Montreal Canadiens along with the Ottawa Senators were two clubs interested. With that, TFP noted that some teams have expressed interest in Frost recently. He has not played in four straight games.
