Philadelphia has been in a weird place of recent, as big time players have been moved and a new coach has taken the reigns.

But on-ice has left something to be desired, as players have underperformed and new acquisition have big expectations from management and the fanbase, as well as themselves.
Travis Konecny and Morgan Frost are two players that are viewed as big pieces for the Flyers and understandably so, as they were drafted in expectance that they would one day help carry the torch, that was left by Claude Giroux and even Kimmo Timonen before that.
On the other end of the spectrum, Cam Atkinson has familiarity with the Flyers new bench boss, has played under the outspoken coach's tutelage in Columbus. Atkinson isn't necessarily a star, but he puts his workboots on, so to speak, each and every night.

The Flyers have a plethora of young talent and unproven talent. But should the three mentioned players find their games, it's hard to imagine the Flyers and Torts being unhappy about that.
The Flyers may want to place Morgan Frost with a potential new home if the return could be interesting, the Chicago Blackhawks would make a great trade partner as they are entering a multi-year rebuild where Morgan Frost would fall perfectly under, despite his late-development.
The Blackhawks have also picked up multiple trade assets this off-season, and they all hold the same contract as Morgan Frost (a one-year term). A name that stands out is Max Domi, who is a free agent just like Morgan Frost at the end of the season, the Blackhawks will sure be out of the playoffs- but will the Flyers? And could they move one of these pieces that are failing to develop for a much better player like Max Domi?
