Multi-Game Suspension Handed out After TKO Sucker Punch

The Swedish Hockey League was forced to handout a multi-game suspension following a sucker punch that was delivered by Thomas Schemitsch.

The Panthers' former 3rd round pick violently punched Linus Oberg during a typical scuffle near the net following the whistle. We see these scuffles all the time, so I have no idea what inclined Schemistch to deliver such a violent blow.

Thanks to Blades of Steel, we know that Schemistch received a 3-game suspension from the SHL committee.

Schemitsch never made it to the NHL, but he did spend six years in the AHL with Springield and Cleveland.
