Ron Hextall to Return as The Flyers General Manager or in Front Office Role?

Rumors have since surfaced that Hextall may be returning to Philadelphia in a management role. A source close to the situation reportedly suggested that the possibility of Hextall rejoining the Flyers' restructured front office should not be ruled out. Hextall had previously served as the Flyers' general manager from 2014 to 2018 before being let go, as he ruined the organization quite awfully.

The Penguins' decision to fire Hextall comes after a disappointing season that saw them eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, despite a strong regular season performance. As for Hextall's future, it remains to be seen where he will land next, but his potential return to the Flyers would undoubtedly be an intriguing development to watch, but one that would ignite the entire Flyers fan base to flames.
