Shane Wright was expected to be the first overall pick in this past NHL Draft. Wright ended up slipping to the 4th overall pick (Seattle Kraken), as the teams prior to that pick didn't believe he fit their system.
Following the drop in the draft, Wright's preseason performance was highly anticipated by fans across the league, but the youngster did not live up to expectations.
After 5 games, Wright finished with just one measly assist, but that was not the biggest concern. 0 shots were recorded by Wright in 5 total games.
Wright also went 13 for 47 on faceoffs, which comes out to a terrible 28% win percentage.
