On Friday night the National Hockey League (NHL) Stanley Cup Final began, with the Vegas Golden Knights taking a one to none series lead, after a dominate 5-2 win in game one.

Between the two teams there were over 50 minutes in penalties, which the Panthers accumulated over 40 alone.
Vegas Golden Knights Head Coach Paul Maurice thought the Panthers were given some calls, rather than the refs being in the Knights favour.
«Must've been excited to get us back into the box one more time.»

When asked about how quick the high-stick review was on Stone's goal.

This also alluding to the Panthers scoring on the power play in the game, and wanting another chance to score again.
A call that went under the radar was a brutal hit on Panthers' Nick Cousins, who was double teamed by Knights' Stephenson and Hague. Who have both been all over controversial calls and issues during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
It may not look to severe, but Nicolas Hague hits Cousins well he was already going down from the impact from Chandler Stephenson. Additionally, Hague elbows the Panthers' forward right after the impact from his teammate. Instead of easing up, Nicolas Hague was gearing up to finish his hit the whole way, even when Nick Cousins was facing the boards. After the hit from behind and elbow to the dome, Cousins went down and got 209 lb Chandler Stephenson landing on top of his head.
Nick Cousins was very slow to get up after the impact from both Knights' players, as this play went uncalled. There were quite a few different penalties that could have been called.
