McDonald signed a pro-tryout contract with the Flyers until the end of the season after his college season ended this year. Since signing, he has been playing for the Phantoms in hopes of landing a contract for next year.

Clearly the young blueliner has impressed management as he has now inked a 2 year contract which will begin next year.

The young Flyers prospect put up 6 points in 21 games for Northeastern University this season and now has 2 points in 9 games with the Phantoms.
