The Flyers season is on the line today as they face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets. It was revealed that the Blue Jackets will be missing ten of their players and will also have a minor league goaltender in net.

After 77 games, the Flyers have a record of 36-30-11 with 83 points and are currently in a six game losing streak. Certainly not the time to take one but this is what the team faces. With their goal differential collapsing standing at -19 and the team standing on the worst goaltending stats since January 20th, this game has all the hallmark of a must win game.
The Blue Jackets have turned to Jet Greaves, a 23-year-old undrafted goaltender who has only played five NHL games in his career. Four of those games have been played this season where he holds a record of 1-3-0 with a goals against of 3.04 and a save percentage of .917. If the Flyers are hoping to turn their season around quickly facing a goaltender this young and this inexperienced should help them win the game.
The Flyers have turned back to Samuel Ersson to man the net and is in dire need of a bounce back game after his dreadful outing on April first against the New York Islanders. With so many teams behind them all within a few points it's going to be a photo finish for the Flyers with hopes of the playoffs in mind.
The game will take place today April 6th at 7:00 PM eastern.
