The Flyers Head coach addressed the media after a hard fought 2-1 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues. the Flyers one paper outplayed the Blues, and outshot the Blues, but the game was closer than the stats would suggest, as the Flyers blocked a ton of shots. The Flyers Head coach thinks the team was outplayed in the first and second period however turned it on and outplayed the Blues in the third. He had an important message for the team and the media after the game when a reporter brought up the fact the Flyers sit in a Playoff spot:

"We're going to worry about each and every day and try to be the best that we can be."

This clearly spells out that the Flyers are not getting ahead of themselves and looking towards the Playoffs. They still have 18 games left; a lot can happen in those 18 games. The Flyers do have a six-point lead in the playoff race, with teams below them having games in hand. Everything is still tight, the Flyers are taking it one game at a time and focusing on the next opponent, which happens to be the Florida Panthers who are the best team in the league right now.

The Flyers can't be looking at playoffs, they need to focus on the mini gauntlet of teams they need to run through over the next two weeks.
