The last two weeks have seen a ton of adversity strike the Philadelphia Flyers organization. From losing five straight and Owen Tippett hitting the injured reserve list to the unfortunate Carter Hart situation, many fans felt like the roof was falling before the All-Star break. As the Flyers bounced back last night, John Tortorella emphasized how big of a win it truly was.

As the Flyers took the ice in Florida on Tuesday night against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, everything seemed like it was finally starting to fall into place. Owen Tippett was back from injury, Samuel Ersson found his grove, and Travis Konecny continued to play at an All-Star level.
When John Tortorella spoke with the media following a 2-1 win that snapped the Flyers five game losing streak, Torts provided a perfect soundbite, something he has done a lot lately.
"I'm just glad we won. For our athletes we need to get some swagger back, some confidence...do you understand how good we can be if we play that way."

Although the Flyers have shown a stretch of bad, it is also hard to ignore the success they have been able to produce. From beating some of the NHL's top teams in the Avalanche, Canucks, Knights, Wild, and Panthers to currently sitting in a playoff spot, the Flyers have still gone beyond all expectations for this season.
