With Carter Hart's time with the Flyers most likely coming to an end, the Flyers are in desperate need for goalie relief. With Samuel Ersson stepping into the number one role nicely, it is extremely important for the Flyers to find a solid number to so they can be able to give Ersson rest and keep his mind fresh to avoid burnout.

Before the Flyers 3-2 victory against the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night, Flyers President of Hockey Operations Keith Jones offered an interesting insight on that number two position and the possibility of the Flyers bringing over one of their top prospects to fulfill that role.
"We have... a lot of Russian goaltenders in the pipeline. I'm looking forward to watching those guys perform over here when they arrive, and some will be here sooner than later. I think that's a big part of our future, there's no question about it."
Jones also emphasized how important each start is for Cal Petersen who currently sits in the number two role. Petersen did have an outstanding night on Saturday, stopping 17 of 19 shots with a .895 save percentage in his first outing since November.
The Russian propect that Keith Jones was referring to was none other than goalie Alexei Kolosov. Drafted in the third round in 2021, Kolosov has spent the past four seaosns in the KHL, garnering over 85 games of experience and turning in a fantastic 2023-24 season. Kolosov recorded 19 wins with a .907 save percentage and 4 shutouts this season.
With just eight games left in his KHL season, could the Flyers be bringing Kolosov over?
