Flyers head coach spoke to the media recently regarding how two of his top defensemen, Travis Sanheim and Cam York, have been playing.
Tortorella mentioned how both players are clearly completely drained as they are overthinking simple decision and not making plays that are normally second nature to them.
Torts on York/Sanheim: "I know Sanny & Yorky are on fumes just watching them play. They're not even thinking correctly."
"There are some plays that they could make, just checking-wise they make all the time & they're just not there."
Management decided to give the Flyers the day off from practice today in hopes that it will help players like York and Sanheim get some much needed rest.
