Over the years and decades, the New York Rangers and the Chicago Blackhawks have shown their dislike for one another as both teams are Original Six franchises and have battled for the Stanley Cup numerous times.

Both teams always share a storyline which included recently when Patrick Kane made the decision to leave the Blackhawks and head to the Rangers in attempt to win a Stanley Cup.
Both teams renewed their rivalry last night which turned ugly near the end of the first period when Blackhawks forward Nick Foligno pushed his way into Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin's crease and decided to interfere with Shesterkin himself which led to a brawl between both clubs.
Shesterkin didn't hesitate and through two or three good punches at Foligno which led to both teams pushing and shoving along with some punches being thrown. The crowd was on their feet and most days, you never see this kind of action, but with these two playing one another and all the history that has followed you'll always expect a great game between them.
The Rangers ended up beating the Blackhawks 4-3 in overtime.
