In addition to having an All-Star Draft in 2024, the NHL also instituted a celebrity team captain for each of the four teams involved. This year, the team captains included Canada natives Michael Buble, Justin Bieber, Will Arnett, and last but not least, Tate McRae. After putting up an incredible musical performance at intermission on Saturday, McRae's performance had the hockey world buzzing on social media.

Not only was McRae's performance the talk of the night, but many began speculations as McRae used to date Columbus Blue Jackets center Cole Sillinger recently. Because of her history with Sillinger, all eyes were on McRae as she did a great job representing the NHL in one of the most exciting weekends of the year for hockey fans.

Because of the popularity of McRae and her previous relationship, rumors and speculations began to fly as McRae performed her hit song "greedy" on the NHL stage on Saturday, as the lyrics contain innuendos to a relationship ending because of unfaithfulness.


Sillinger, however was quick to defend the rumors and allegations as he left a short and simple comment, proving his point.
