The Philadelphia Flyers have two of their top five prospects playing for the London Knights in the OHL and that is forward Denver Barkey and defenseman Oliver Bonk. The London Knights had the best record in the OHL with both prospects having great seasons. The London Knights made it to the championship series to play the Oshawa Generals. On Wednesday night, the London Knights defeated the Oshawa Generals 7-1 in Game 4 to sweep the series, 4-0, and become champions of the OHL. For the playoffs, the London Knights finished with a 16-2 record, which included sweeps in three of the four series.
In this series, the London Knights scored 31 goals which is the most in the championship series since 1999. During the playoffs, Denver Barkey played in all 18 games and scored six goals, 21 assists for 27 points. Oliver Bonk played in all 18 games as well and scored seven goals and nine assists for 16 points. Both players are key assets on the power play for the Knights. Hopefully, we can see them win another championship but next time it will be on the Flyers.
