Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch has chosen to roll the dice and give the net to former Flyers goalie Calvin Pickard. Current goalie Stuart Skinner was removed from the net as the Oilers lost Game 3 , 4-3.

Pickard, spent one season with the Flyers which happened to be the season in 2018 that the Flyers were decimated in goal and needed eight goaltenders to get through the year. Pickard has played 20 games for the Oilers this season and he had a record of 12-7-1 with goals against of 2.45 and a save percentage of .909.
Much is riding on this decision as this would be Pickard's first start in the NHL playoffs. There has been many who feel that his career may not have much left and even he has stated that he fights for hockey career life every start he gets.
But he is now on the biggest stage and the Oilers hope he can solve the goalie issues and help them defeat the Canucks.
The Oilers are up 1-0 with less than 5 minutes remaining in the 2nd period.
