The Islanders, Capitals and Red Wings are all within a point of the Flyers and if they are caught by all 3, they will miss the playoffs. Which is why they need Ivan Fedotov to step up tonight against the Sabres.
He played well in his NHL debut against the Islanders in which he entered the game in the 2nd period and he stopped 19 of 21 shots that he faced. The Flyers have games tonight and tomorrow so we should expect to see Sam Ersson back in net tomorrow night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
