Love him or hate him, Boston Bruins 35-year-old left wing Brad Marchand has been one of the most iconic players in hockey over the past decade. From stirring the pot with opponents to constant deep playoff runs and All-Star appearances, Marchand has been a staple in the city of Boston. Tuesday night, Marchand celebrated a historic accomplishment that not only brought out emotions in fans, but Marchand himself.

Tuesday night Marchand celebrated his 1,000 career NHL game, spanning over a 15 year career as he made his debut in 2009. Marchand has had a historic career, remaining with Boston throughout the entirety of his career. As Boston celebrated Marchand with a touching tribute video before the game, Marchand showed a rare display of emotion as he saluted the great Boston fans.
Marchand has accomplished so much over his career, from a Stanley Cup in 2011, an Eastern Conference Finals Championship in 2019, to making five straight NHL All-Star appearances from 2017-2021.
From 2016-2020, Marchand scored over 80 points in those consecutive seasons, with his best season coming in 2018-19 when he notched a career high 100 points on 64 assists and 36 goals.
In a tremendous sports city like Boston, Marchand is becoming royalty, up there with the names of Tom Brady, Larry Bird, and David Ortiz. With the Bruins once again at the top of the Eastern Conference, will Marchand add another Stanley Cup to his trophy case?
