On Thursday night, the 2023 NHL's top draft pick had all eyes on him as he made his return in his first game since breaking his jaw on January 5. Despite having a new, unique look with his fully enclosed helmet as people are naming him "bubble Bedard", the top pick wasted no time getting back in the action. On Saturday, Bedard scored his first goal in nearly 50 days.

As the Chicago Blackhawks took on the Ottawa Senators, Bedard continued to show improved comfort and conditioning as he lit up the stat sheet, including his first goal in over a month as he netted an impressive goal in the second period to tie the game.
Bedard made a spectacular move to get around his defender, and fired a wrist shot passed the goalie as the United Center jumped to their feet.
The number one overall pick had a solid game in the teams 3-2 win as he recorded two points on a goal and an assist. In just two games back, Bedard has already recorded three points including two assists.
In his first season in the NHL as an 18-year-old, Bedard has amassed 34 points on 15 goals and 19 assists in 40 games thus far. The Flyers will get to see the number one overall pick in action on Wednesday as the Flyers travel to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks on TNT at 7:30p.m. EST.
