New Utah NHL team has announced they have trademarked a few names

It was officially announced last week that the Arizona Coyotes will be heading to Salt Lake City next season.

The owner, Ryan Smith, stated that the team is in no rush to pick a team name and may start the season without one. Smith did however say that even though will be playing in Salt Lake City, the team will have Utah in the name.

Ownership is in no rush to pick a team name but have filed trademarks for the following names, Utah Mammoth, Utah Ice, Utah Yetis, Utah Venom, Utah Fury, Utah Blizzard, Utah Outlaws and Utah Hockey Club.





If ownership takes their time picking a name we will likely see the same that happened in the NFL with the Washington Football team and fans will see the Utah Hockey Club.
