Next generation of NHL players may seem familiar

The NHL has been a cyclical league for many decades as NHL stars have had children and have passed down their love of hockey and potentially their talent.

Every so many years, a crop of young players are the descendants of former NHL stars where fans will get to see if their sons can live up to their fathers talent.
In this year's coming draft, several former NHL stars will have their sons eligible to enter the league and be known to the world.

Numerous NHL stars of the 1990s including Jerome Iginla, Miroslav Satan, Saku Koivu and former Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov will see their sons potentially stand on that stage and accept an NHL jersey.

It's been well documented that many players will never pan out and never live up to the expectations that their name carries. However, only time will tell on weather this will fade away and we could see names like Iginla and Koivu be in a scoring race soon.
