The Philadelphia Flyers season was mostly a surprise this year, but it also been up and down. This season could frustrate most fans as the Flyers have been successful against top teams and have struggled against bad teams. Per, Jordan Hall, this season, the Flyers have 13 wins against top 10 teams but also have 13 losses against bottom 10 teams.

The Flyers have 13 wins over top-10 teams. They also have 13 losses to bottom-10 teams.

We just saw on Thursday night that the Flyers ended their eight-game losing streak to the New York Rangers who has the best record in the NHL and the game prior to the losing streak, they defeated the Boston Bruins. In between these two victories, we saw the Flyers lose to the Blue Jackets, Canadiens and Blackhawks, all 3 of these teams have struggled all year.

The Flyers have some really good wins this year, including defeating the Jets and Panthers twice, but they have also lost to the Sharks once, and the Sabres, Canadiens, Senators and Blue Jackets twice. If the Flyers did not struggle so much against these bad teams, then they would clearly be in a playoff position. It is good to see them compete with the top teams in the NHL, but it is also frustrating to see them lose to really bad hockey teams. If next year, the Flyers can beat the teams they should beat, then we should see them in the playoffs.
