With the position the Flyers organization sits at in 2024 and the number of assets the team possesses, it is no surprise they are one of the most talked about teams this upcoming trade deadline. A total of four players names have been floated around including alternate captain Scott Laughton. On Wednesday afternoon, one NHL insider predicts a fellow Eastern Conference contender to land not one, but potentially two Flyers defensemen.
Sean Walker and Nick Seeler have been some hot names thrown around this trade deadline, as their experience and relatively cheap contracts would be an extremely strong addition to the third or fourth line of a contending team like Tampa Bay.
Both Seeler and Walker are having arguably the best seasons of their career thus far as Seeler has accumulated 10 points on 9 assists with a plus 18 plus/minus rating, the highest of his career so far. Walker has also put up the best numbers of his career, racking up 20 points on 15 assists, with a plus 10 rating.
