For consecutive weeks, a Flyers goalie has cracked the NHL's Goalies of the Week list. This time, goalie Samuel Ersson earned his spot on the list after he earned three wins, including a shutout victory on Saturday night against the Detroit Red Wings. Ersson also recorded a 93% save percentage with a 1.95 GAA.

Ersson cracked the list alongside the Kraken's Joey Daccord, the Hurricanes Pyotr Kochetkov, and the Canucks Thatcher Demko. Ersson has been extremely strong for the Flyers this season as he currently sits with seven wins, two shutouts and an 89% save percentage on the season. On Saturday against the Red Wings, Ersson recorded 34 saves in a shutout win, continuing to impress his teammates and head coach John Tortorella.
«He just continues to get better, making key saves at key times. Goaltending has been good, it's given us a chance every night for a while here. He came up with the extra save, and we found a way to get two points.»

Previously, Flyers goalie Carter Hart earned goalie of the week honors as he has been having a stellar season as well as he has recorded nine wins on the season with a 91% save percentage.
Recently, however, Hart has been struggling with an illness keeping him off the ice and Ersson has filled in his spot with ease. Hart is expected to be back tonight against the Devils and a win would put him fourth all-time in Flyers history in wins and games played.
