As with any team that goes through a rebuild, the Flyers are stacked with players who are under the age of 25. A total of 14 players on the Flyers are 25 years old or younger, including six guys who are under 23. The Flyers are loaded with young talent who they look to develop for years to come, but it's the older veterans who have set a great example for the young guys to look up to.

One constant to highlight is veteran center Sean Couturier. Last season, Couturier battled with injuries a majority of the year and was in and out of the lineup and the team greatly felt the impacts of that. This year, however, Couturier has been able to stay healthy and it has shown with his performance on the ice. Couturier reflected on the Flyers hot start and has really noticed a difference in the atmosphere around this years team.
"We've worked a lot on coming together and building something special. Guys are buying in. We just have to keep building and believing in ourselves."

Thus far, Couturier is second on the team in points with 21 and has also added seven goals on the year along with 14 assists. Couturier is a 12 year vet with the Flyers, playing all of his 749 career games with the Flyers. Couturier is becoming a Philly legend and knows what it takes to play to that Philadelphia standard. Head coach John Tortorella emphasized the importance of Couturier's leadership in 2023.
"Coots doesn't say much but when he says something on the bench, people listen."
