With their recent play since the All-Star break, the Flyers have ascended in their power rankings and according to B/R open ice, the Flyers are approaching the top 10 in the NHL.
They contain a record of 29-19-7 and were at the 16th position which now has become 12TH. It's safe to say the Flyers are one of the hardest working teams in the NHL due to the fact of a lack of star power as mentioned earlier. One facet of their game that has gone well is their road record as it holds at 15-7-5, while their record at home is 14-12-2.
Beside the good results, they still have a struggling power play and are currently in the position to sell off some of their team at the trade deadline as numerous general managers have drawn interest to their lineup which the Flyers could cash in quite quickly.
As it was stated at the beginning of this season, the team is still in the middle of a full rebuilding mode and as much as a playoff spot is great there is still much work to be done to make this team into a playoff contender let alone a Stanley Cup contender.
