New information on Flyers recent signing

News broke today that the Flyers have signed Hunter McDonald, it originally seemed to be a AHL contract but now it was announced that it's an entry level contract.

McDonald most recently played in the NCAA for the last two seasons at Northeastern University.

In his last season, he played in 23 games with 6 points and finished the season with a 3 +/- rating.

Reports surfacing that Hunter McDonald will sign his ELC with the Flyers.


Hunter is a 21 year old LHD who's 6'4" 207, plays a physical game, and blocks plenty of shots.

He was drafted by the Flyers in the 6th round of the 2022 NHL draft.

His last two season in NCAA:
• 22/23- 35gp, 1G, 13A, +21
• 23/24- 23gp, 1G, 5A, +3

McDonald will most likely start off in the AHL with the Phantoms, giving him his first taste of pro hockey.
