John Tortorella has a unique coaching style and is not shy about it nor does he care what the media has to say about it. After the Flyers suffered two unfortunate losses in a row on the road, one coming on overtime in Toronto and one came at the hands of their rival New Jersey Devils on national television, Tortorella came into Monday's practice with a mission to get his team to snap out of a slump.

As the Flyers took the ice for practice, Tortorella was on them early. Barking, chirping, and screaming at his guys for a multitude of reasons. It's no surprise, being the Flyers seemed to be getting in their own way in the losses, especially against the Devils that saw stupid penalties and sloppy puck handling skills by the Flyers.
"John Tortorella giving Flyers an earful at practice. He said 'not enough' multiple times and that he needs 'more from everybody.' Clearly trying to have them ready for Blackhawks and stretch drive. It lasted for four or five minutes."

No matter what people have to say about Tortorella's "brash" coaching style, the players have seemed to respond and be drawn to it as they have not only defended their coach in the media, but have also exceeded expectations all season and been a physical team.
If the Flyers want their season to result in a playoff appearance, they are going to need to respond to Torts everyday.
