When the Flyers' season started, most of us would have not been shocked if they finished somewhere between 70 to 80 points for the season. As we are all shocked that the Flyers are fighting for the playoffs in March.

However, over the last 23 games, that is exactly what the Flyers have been, a 70-point team.
@NHLFlyers
have not put together back-to-back wins in over a month.

9-12-2 in last 23 games dating back 2 months. (0.435, 71pt pace)

Now at under 92 point pace.

14 games left.

If they don't go ~6-5-3 (91pts) or better? They very likely miss the play-offs. #Flyers #NHL

Over the last 23 games, the Flyers are 9-12-2, which would be on pace for 71 points for an entire season. Not only this, but the Flyers have not won back-to-back games in over a month. With 14 games remaining, the Flyers are on pace for under 92 points, which at the halfway point of the season, they were on pace for close to 100 points.
Luckily for the Flyers, a decent amount of the teams chasing them are struggling as well, which is why they are hanging on to a playoff spot. Now, not all is lost for the Flyers as the next 5 games are tough, however 8 of their last 9 games are against teams not currently in a playoff position.
Hopefully, the Flyers can break this trend, and we can see them in the playoffs for the first time in 4 years.
