The DeBrusk family is one of the most interesting families in the hockey community. Most fans know Jake DeBrusk, the 27-year old left wing of the Eastern Conference powerhouse Boston Bruins, but many fans don't know about his father Louie, who is on the broadcast team of the Edmonton Oilers, the hometown team of the DeBrusk family. On Wednesday night, the Bruins traveled to Edmonton where it was a family affair as the Oilers took on the Bruins.

Before the game, Jake and his father shared in a special moment as Louie got a pre-game interview in with his son, asking him the hard-hitting questions any reporter would, but it was hard to ignore the smile on his face. You could tell just how special of a moment it was for the DeBrusk family.
Louie brought pulled out a note from his pocket that Jake wrote when he was a kid, and it challenged him to score a goal, an assist, or 30 pushups if he fails to do so.
Not only was the pregame interview special, it was topped when Jake came through on his promise and scored a goal in the second period while his dad was on the call.
"I don't think he wanted to do pushups."

His dad said as he scored as he laughed and was smiling ear to ear. From the crowds reaction to DeBrusk's goal, you could easily tell this was a special homecoming game for the DeBrusk family.
