Sidney Crosby has released an official statement that seems to directly but quietly disagree with Penguins GM and President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas. Jake Guentzel's recent trade has been out and about as the trade deadline came to an end. The situation at hand has led fans to wonder if the Penguins General Manager is the right fit for the team going forward.

Penguins veteran Sidney Crosby was asked about this deal, and here's what he had to say about it:
"I don't know. You'd have to ask him why he did that. He was a great teammate, a friend. I think he did everything he possibly could in his time here. It was just a privilege to play with him for the course of the time. Some Great memories. It was a privilege, that's all I can say."

As Crosby has shown his value to the Penguins time and time again, it is definitely difficult to question him in regards to his open, yet subtle disagreement with Kyle Dubas. He didn't outright knock his general manager, but we have to read between the lines while analyzing Crosby's statement. One can assume it was an innocent conversation that allowed Crosby to reminisce and admire his history alongside hard-working Guentzel, while most can assume he and General Manager Kyle Dubas are not in agreement when it comes to the future of the Pittsburgh Penguins. It is hard to judge the seasoned veteran considering what he has provided to the franchise, and this recent update begs the question; How will this affect the Penguins moving forward?
